Discovering a Sense of Place
in Pend Oreille County
WSU/Pend Oreille Extension introduced the Sense of Place series in 1999, with a focus on local landscape, culture, and natural history. Sense of Place is presented through classes, field trips, and a newsletter. A partnership with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians Natural Resources Department has allowed us to expand this program through EPA funding, including the quarterly newsletter Diggings.
Please pre-register for all classes by calling the Extension office at 509-447-2401.
